I recently purchased a little project boat. It is a 12' aluminum boat built in 1961 with a 5 horsepower motor also built in 1961. After getting it home, we determined that it needed a little more work that we had hoped! The motor needed some major work and the trailer needed a full overhaul and paint job. The motor work has been completed, and it runs very well. I have most of the trailer parts cleaned and painted, and hopefully it will be reassembled within the next week or two. We also installed new seats and rebuilt the transom to make sure all the wood was in good shape.
Here is a picture of me while we were float testing the boat to see if there are any leaks. For a 44 year old boat it floats pretty well!
