Lake of the Woods 2005 Every year for the first week of June many of us head to Lake of the Woods in Ontario for a week of fishing and fun. Please take a look at some of the pictures from the 2005 trip!. This years trip was attended by 17 people coming from 7 states, our biggest turn out so far. The roster this year included three generations of Grote's as well as some "inlaws" and "outlaws". Brothers Henry, Dan and Phil represented the first generation. Henry's sons Vogel, Lev and Sasha made it this year along with Phil's sons Cord and Alex from the second generation. Also representing the second generation was Sean who is the son of Ginny; Henry, Dan and Phil's younger sister. The third generation of Grote's saw Vogel's son Silas and Cord's sons Corbin and Chandler on the water. The "inlaws" were represented by three generations also. Grandpa Ron Cotts, Phil's father-in-law, was the elder statesman of the inlaws. Gary, brother-in-law to Phil, and his son David also made the trip this year. The "outlaws" this year were represented by Charlie and his son Mike. Mike is a friend of Cord and Alex's from Colorado. We all missed Kenny, who is Henry's oldest son, on the trip this year as well as the original "Outlaw" Ernie who could not make it. Hopefully they can come next year! All in all we had a grand time!
